Marclay Associates  

Tom Huckle is a Director with 10 years experience in security and cyber security operations. Tom leads the Marclay Associates cyber consultancy, with a particular focus on the outsourced-CISO and crisis response services.


Tom was a serving officer with the Royal Marines, specialising in intelligence and reconnaissance. Deployed overseas, he led complex operations working alongside liaison services, with cyber and data analytics used to underpin many of the operational decisions he had to make. As a consequence, he developed a blend of physical and technical skills that allowed him to excel in his role as an officer during live operations. Following his career with the Royal marines, Tom qualified as a cyber attack monitoring specialist, working within teams of cyber analysts to mitigate cyber threats against the finance sector.


As the Director of Marclay’s consultancy, Tom leads many of the outsourced-CISO and longer-term engagements. Able to use his extensive experience to assist clients with long term planning, he has developed and implemented complex and effective cyber security roadmaps for clients in finance, technology, sport and public sectors. Proactive in his approach, he has demonstrated his leadership abilities and has regularly briefed business owners, boards and C-suite executives.


Tom is certified with the Council for Registered Ethical Security (CREST) and is a Registered Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst. He possesses a number of cyber security qualifications, demonstrating a wide skill competency in several technical disciplines such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Security Analytics+, CompTIA Cyber Security Analyst+, and is a certified ISO/IEC27001 Auditor and Data Protection Officer.
